How to Test Your Qur'an Memorisation
Testing is covering the page, starting the ayah, and marking what actually came. Anything else is reading with hope.

Cover, recite, then look
Start from a known ayah, keep going until you stick, then check. Mark the weak spot. Repair that spot the same day. This is kinder than discovering the hole in salah.
Test junctions and similar lines
Begin in the middle of a page. Begin on the shared opening of two lookalikes. Mutashabihat only settle when the fork is tested, not when both pages look familiar.
Let the result change tomorrow’s sitting
Clean ayahs can move further away. Weak ayahs come close. That is spaced repetition, guided by evidence instead of mood.
Forgetting after a test is information
If an ayah fails two days later, it needed a nearer cycle, not a lecture to yourself. Why you forget is usually this missing cycle.
