How Repetition Strengthens Qur'an Memorisation
Repetition is how an ayah moves from “I just saw it” to “I can start it calmly”. Spacing those repeats matters more than stacking them in one anxious sitting.

Repeat while the sound is still accurate
Early repeats should follow a clear listening so you are not carving a wrong rhythm. Then hide the page. Listening first makes repetition cheaper.
Leave a gap, then return
The same ayah after salah, then the next morning, then two days later, holds better than thirty recitations in ten minutes. That gap is the “spaced returns” that keep Hifz from staying only in short-term recall.
Let testing decide the next repeat
If you can start the ayah without looking, move it to a wider cycle. If not, keep it near. Testing tells you which cycle an ayah belongs in.
Revision is repetition with a longer gap
