Prefer a protected slot over a perfect mood
Fajr after salah, a lunch break, or after ‘Isha can all work. What fails is waiting to “feel ready”. Attach Hifz to a salah you already pray and sit in the same place. Routine is this attachment.
Use a second, shorter return later
A brief evening recitation of the morning’s new ayahs costs little and saves a lot. That is spaced return, not a second marathon. See repetition.
Match the portion to the hour you have
A tired night is the wrong time to start a long surah. Keep nights for return and mornings for new work if that is when you are clearest. Daily amount should follow energy, not pride.
When the slot breaks, shrink, do not skip the week
Travel and exams change clocks. Keep a five-minute listen-and-repeat rather than a full pause. The beginner’s guide is built for sittings that can finish even when the day is messy.
